We all know a good hair day can totally transform your mood. That's why we create beautiful hair tools that can whip your mane into shape. Check out the below tutorials to learn how you can turn yourself into a real life Mermade. Short hair, long hair, thin hair, thick hair even curly hair - there is a Mermade for you.

How to use the Mermade Waver

Step 1. Hair should be clean, dry and free of tangles before using. Rest theiron on its stand on a smooth, heat-resistant flat surface, and plug it in.Press and hold the ON/OFF button until the unit turns on and the ‘ON’ indicatorlights up. Adjust the temperature using the left and right buttons to reachyour desired heat. For healthier styling we suggest using 180°C/360°F heat setting unless you havevery course/thick hair.

Step 2. The key to long lasting, lush waves is prepping your hair correctly. Youwant to inject your hair with a heat protectant and contour spray, like our MermadeMist, which will protect your strands from heat and give your hair extrahold.

Step 3. Start by dividing hair into sections with our GripClips. Smaller sections will create more defined waves. Taking one section ata time, start at the top close to the roots and clamp the hair, making surethat the hair is evenly placed inside the barrels. Be careful not to touch thescalp with the tool. Hold for 2-5 seconds. Hold for less time if hair is easyto curl, or if you want less defined waves. Once you have released your firstclamp, re-clamp the top barrel of the waver on to the last wave bend. You wantto overlap each wave with your waver to create a seamless wave from roots toends. Repeat this process through to the ends over the whole head.

Step 4. Once you have finished waving, make sure the hair has completely cooleddown before touching to allow it time to set. For a beachy effortless wave, brush the wave out with our MermadeBrush or comb through. Finish by using an extra spray of Mermade Mist forhold and shine, or a flexible workable spray or a lacquer spray for more hold.

Mermade Original vs Mermade Mini

Did you know our Original 32mm Mermade Waver has a little sister? It's called the Mermade Mini, and it's made up of 3 x 25mm barrels and 50% lighter than the 32mm Mermade. It's perfect for a tighter 90s vibewave or for short hair!

Jade K × Jessy Murphy

We suggest starting at 180°C and section and clip the hair into four or more parts. Starting from the back 1-inch off the scalp, take small sections for a more defined Kardashian wave or larger sections for your beachy undone wave.

Comb and clamp hair, hold for 2-5 seconds releasing and following the same method through to the ends repeating throughout the whole head.

Once you have finished waving, make sure the hair has completely cooled down before beginning your MADE regime. Either use your fingertips, our Mermade Brush or a large wide tooth comb and softly brush out your waves to get the look you want. Finish by using an extra spray of Mermade Mist for hold and shine, or a flexible workable spray or a lacquer spray for more hold.
