2024: The Year of Textured Hair and Effortless Style
We are starting the new year off right, giving you our predictions of the trending hairstyles of 2024! We are seeing lots of effortless hairstyles, embracing the natural textures and styles.
Don’t stress we don’t mean the grungy messy look, we are going for the Serena Van Der Woodsen x Hailey Bieber vibe.
Let’s have a little deep dive of what we are thinking:
1: SUNKISSED HIGHLIGHTS:
Suitable for any hair colour, subtle sun kissed highlights are a factor that can shake up any hair look, illuminating the face whilst keeping it natural. A light sprinkle of highlights can add dimension and luminosity to the slight dull look of block colour. Glossy caramel/ honey highlights could be your look for 2024.
2: SOFT BOB:
The soft bob / the italian bob is going to be making a bigger appearance this year. We predict it will have an upgraded moment and we will be seeing lots of it. The style features volume with face framing and subtle layered edges to create the undone look. It is the hair dream, so easy to style and so cute!
3: BRAIDED UPDO:
Baby hairs and edges styled with knotless braids is the perfect way to feature your protective style as a stand out moment! The timeless elegance of the hairstyle offers a sophisticated and versatile look for any occasion complimenting natural beauty. We think we will be seeing a lot of these featured styles on the carpets of award shows this season.
4: BUTTERFLY HAIRCUT:
We had started to see the butterfly haircut emerging on social media, as the style contours the face and provides movement and volume to the hair. The look resembles some inspo from the 70’s with volume and fullness of the face framing layers, featuring bouncy bangs. It is really embodying Farrah Fawcett in a modernised way.
5: CURLY FRINGE AND BANGS:
We are going to be seeing a lot more embracing of natural textures, starting with the subtle and soft facial framing of curly bangs.The style is a nod to the beauty of natural texture with kinks, and coils. The natural hair movement is going to be thriving with unstyled looks, enhancing the recognition of natural beauty.
6: LARGE MERMADE WAVES:
Beachy waves have stayed on top of the recurring trends over the years, with the mermade waves featuring largely in 2023 the trend is here to stay and we believe it will be bigger and better. The dipped lived-in texture creates the look carefree, relaxed yet chic appearance. Whether styled on short or long hair, the large waves add volume and movement.
7: UNDONE HAIR:
